Dr. Janet Matuszek

Dr. Janet Matuszek is a board certified OB/GYN who attended medical school at A.T. Still University (formerly KCOM) in 1992, finished her internship in Arizona in 1993, and completed her OB/GYN residency from Michigan State University in 1997.  She received numerous awards during her residency including resident of the year (two years in a row), outstanding resident in advanced laparoscopy award from AAGL and was chief resident in 1997.  At that time, she moved to St. Louis and was employed by St. John’s Mercy (formerly Unity Health) for the first two years.  In 1999, she founded Women’s Care Specialists.

Dr. Janet Matuszek served as the first woman Medical Staff President at St. Luke’s Hospital and was elected to serve as a representative of the Medical Staff Association on the Medical Executive Committee in December 2013.  She was recently recognized as the recipient of the Patient’s Choice Award for Health Grades and was presented the Leadership Award in recognition for Exceptional Contribution to St. Louis Cord Blood Bank.

She has extensive experience in providing traditional OB/GYN care and offers a wide variety of treatment for infertility, pelvic pain, menstrual irregularities, urinary incontinence, high risk pregnancies and advanced laparoscopic procedures.  As the founder of Women’s Care Specialists she realizes the importance of providing quality care as well as building a lasting relationship with patients.

Dr. Matuszek currenty lives in St. Louis County with her husband Bob, and their two children, Joshua and Emma.  During her time away from the office, Dr. Matuszek enjoys cooking with her children, golfing and music.

Dr. Kelly Ott

Dr. Kelly Ott attended medical school at St. Louis University and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with St. Louis University at St. Mary’s Hospital. She obtained several honors while in the residency program including the Chairman’s Award for Professionalism. Dr. Ott was honored for her outstanding surgical skills in laparoscopy by being inducted into the Global Congress for Minimally Invasive Gynecology. This honor is granted to only one resident within the entire program. In her final year of residency at SLU she served as the administrative chief resident. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She has been trained in general Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also provides evaluation and treatment of high risk pregnancies, pelvic pain, and contraception. She has participated in the Quality Assessment Committee at St. Luke’s Hospital for several years.
Dr. Kelly Ott was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and currently resides in Chesterfield, MO with her husband, Michael, and three children, Hayley, Brandon and Blake. She joined Women’s Care Specialists™ in September 2010.

Dr. Ott sponsors Tour de Wellness every year. This cycling event, is in partnership with St. Luke’s Hospital and Chesterfield Parks, Recreation & Arts. After the ride, participants enjoyed a celebration with music, food and exhibit booths. The goal of Tour de Wellness is to inspire good health in the community.
She also sponsors the St. Luke’s Holiday Party every year which raises awareness and supports The Albert Pujols Wellness Center for Adults with Down Syndrome.
In her free time, Dr. Ott loves spending time with her family. She also plays co-ed softball with her husband and enjoys running.


Dr. Megan Mohrman

Dr. Mohrman graduated from the University of Notre Dame before earning her medical degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where she served as Chief Resident during her last year. Dr. Mohrman also received Baylor’s award for best research for her work on uterine atony, was honored with Baylor’s “Make a Difference” commendation for patient safety, and was distinguished as an outstanding resident by the Baylor University Medical Center nursing staff.
Dr. Mohrman has a special interest in minimally invasive techniques and is certified in da Vinci Robotic surgery. She is committed to caring for her patients’ needs, from infertility and high risk pregnancies, to pelvic pain and menstrual irregularities.
Additionally, Dr. Mohrman is fluent in Spanish, a skill that proved vital during her time in Texas, as well as her medical volunteer work in Mexico, and service as a translator for LaClinica Medical Clinic in St. Louis. She also participated in a Medical Mission Trip to Nalerigu, Ghana, where she worked as a ward physician.
In her free time, Dr. Mohrman enjoys watching sports, especially Cardinals baseball and Notre Dame football. She also loves traveling, being outdoors, musical theatre, all things Irish, and spending time with her family and friends.

Your Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners

Julie Schweitzer

Julie has been a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with Women’s Care Specialists™ and she has seen her practice grow since 2002. Julie graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis with a Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Julie’s past experience includes OB/GYN and Labor and Delivery nursing, as well as a Nursing Supervisor for a local community hospital. Julie provides care to all women across the lifespan from teenage to older adults. Julie is experienced in all aspects of women’s health including annual preventative health exams, contraception and family planning, vulvar and vaginal disorders, perimenopause and menopausal changes and weight management. She offers both early morning and late evening appointments at the St. Peters location.
In 2013, Julie was honored to be awarded as a finalist in St. Louis Magazine’s Nursing Excellence Award.
Julie is a native to St. Louis and currently resides in St. Charles with her husband Al. They have four children, Allison, Tanner, Jake and McKenzie.
Julie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, is an avid reader of all genres, enjoys boating and watching soccer.

Angela Warner

Angie has focused her entire career on providing care to women throughout their life span. While achieving her undergraduate degree at University of Missouri-Columbia, she found her calling during her OB/GYN rotation after witnessing the delivery of a newborn baby. The bond that is made between a nurse and a patient during such an amazing experience keeps her in awe to this day and helps her to strive to provide that same level of care with every patient. Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science of Nursing (BSN) program she began working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital where she continues to work since 2000.
Angie joined Women’s Care Specialists in 2006 as a triage nurse. She obtained her Masters of Science of Nursing (MSN) degree with a specialized focus on Women’s Health Care as a Nurse Practitioner (WHCNP) and became board certified in 2009 moving into a full-time Nurse Practitioner role at Women’s Care Specialists™.
Angie and her husband David were both born and raised in St. Louis and currently live in Wentzville with their two children, Meredith and Justin. Angie enjoys spending her free time pursuing her favorite hobbies, which include painting, decorating and party planning.


Rachel Bender

Rachel has been a labor and delivery nurse since 2008. She worked for Mercy Hospital caring for many women in their journey through labor and birth. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing undergraduate degree at Saint Louis University. During her maternity clinical rotations in labor and delivery, she fell in love with women’s healthcare and decided to make it her career. Rachel attained her Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Women’s Health at the University of Missouri St. Louis where she became a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Rachel is published in infertility management. This past year, she was a guest at the National American Association of Nurse Practitioners where she taught nurse practitioners how to place intrauterine devices. Besides being a full time Nurse Practitioner, Rachel also teaches for Saint Louis University undergraduate nursing students.
